In Japan, May 5 is Children's Day. Children make kites. They draw on paper to make them pretty. They make them colourful. The kites look like a carp. It is a type of fish. The kites show children that they will be big and strong one day.

In Japan, they also eat special dishes. They eat chimaki. It is a rice cake made out of sticky rice.

In India, Children's Day is on November 14. Children go to school. They have big parties. The parties have many fun games.

Many children don't go to school in India. Some children are poor. Children's Day shows people that school is important. Children's Day shows that all children need school.

In South Korea, Children's Day is on May 5. Parents give gifts to their children. Families go on outings. They go to zoos and museums. They show children that they should keep learning.

In China, Children's Day is on June 1. Some schools show a performance by children. The children have lots of fun.

Some parents do not have to work on Children's Day. They can spend time with their children. It is nice for both adults and children.

In Canada, Children's Day is on November 20. It is to teach children that they have rights. It is to teach children about the law. It is an important lesson.
