Objectives & Sequence: This lesson is intended to be used as a review of Grammar - Present Simple #3.
Students work with a partner. Each partner opens the corresponding document and makes a copy.
Students are presented with sentences with possible answers. They must ask their partners to find the answers.
For questions with answers that are either yes or no, students need to ask simple yes / no questions, as in Example #1 below:
Example #1
Student One’s page:
- Steve runs fast.
- yes

Student One asks Student Two, “Does Steve run fast?”
Student Two’s page:
- Steve runs fast.
- yes
- no
Student Two answers, “Yes, he does.”
For other questions, students need to ask questions with the question words, “what”, “where”, “when”, “how”, or “how often”, as in Example #2:
Example #2
Student Two’s page:
- John checks his email...
- in the morning
- in the afternoon
- at night
Student Two asks Student One, “When does John check his email?”
Student One’s page:
- John checks his email...
- in the morning
- in the afternoon
- at night
Student One answers, “He checks it in the afternoon.”
On each student’s page, every other question has answers. As such, they are to ask their partners questions for the ones that do not have answers marked. They are to provide answers to their partners for the questions whose answers have been marked.
