Fables are stories that teach you a lesson.
For this activity, write your own fable that teaches a lesson about something.
A Fable is a story that teaches people a lesson to be nice and kind to others. Most stories are about an animal that is unkind and learns a lesson about life. These stories are good to read because it teaches people to be nice, helpful and thoughtful.
At the end of the story it tells you the “Moral” [mor-al] which means that lesson to learn. What did the animal learn in the end?
This is what you need in a Fable story:
- Animal that talks.
- The big animal does something unkind, foolish or silly.
- The small animal teaches a lesson or helps the big animal.
- At the end, the story tells us the moral.
