Weather Wheel
- Weather symbols printouts (1 set per student)
- Colourful circles of cardstock (approximately 15cm in diameter)
- Glue
- A split pin
Steps
Note: This project can be done over several days on as a long craft activity.
Step #1
Give each child a set of weather symbols to colour.
Step #2
Once they have coloured their symbols, cut them out and return them to the child.
Step #3
Give each child a circle and let them glue the symbols around the circle.
Step #4
Place an ‘X’ in the middle of the circle.
Step #5
Use a pencil to make a hole in where you placed the ‘X.’
Step #6
Cut out arrows from cardstock and place a piece of tape around the bottom of the arrow.
Step #7
Use a pencil or scissors to put a hole into the bottom of the arrow where the tape is.
Step #8
Take a split pin and put it through the arrow and the circle.
Step #9
Turn the circle over and open up the split pin. Seal with tape for safety.
Step #10
Turn the arrow to the position that shows the weather today.
