Watch this video about how Polynesian wayfinders navigated the Pacific Ocean. While you are watching, take note of the natural signs and skills they used to find their way.

Look at the three Driving Questions below and in your groups, decide which question you would like to answer. Each group can answer the same question or each group can answer different questions. The choice is yours!

1. How can we design a display that makes the Middle Ages interesting and easy to understand?
2. How can we use stories, images, and artifacts to show how our cultures have changed over time?
3. How can we document disappearing cultures or languages to teach others about them?
