Do you know what transportation is? It is how we go from here to there. It is how we go to school. It is how we go to work. It is how we go anywhere.
How do we get from here to there? We use vehicles. It is what we use to go places.
There are many types of vehicles. Land vehicles use roads or rails. Sea vehicles use water. Air vehicles use the sky.
Cars and buses are land vehicles. Trains and bikes are land vehicles, too. Boats are sea vehicles. Planes are air vehicles. What do we use to get to school?
Some kids take a car to school. They don't drive the car. They are passengers in the car.
Some kids take a bus to school. They don't drive the bus. They are passengers on the bus.
Some kids take a train to school. They don't drive the train. They are passengers on the train.
Some kids ride a bike to school. Do they drive a bike? No, they ride and steer a bike.
Some kids walk. Are they passengers? No, they are pedestrians.
Some kids use a wheelchair. Do they drive the wheelchair? No, they ride and steer a wheelchair.
Some kids ride a boat to school. They don't steer the boat. They are passengers on the boat.
Do kids take a plane to school? No, kids do not take a plane to school. We use many types of vehicles to go to school.
