- When was the last time that you expressed gratitude for something or someone in writing?
- Do you typically write to someone to say thank you or do you prefer to do it in person or some other way? Why?
- Who in your life are you most grateful for? Why?
- In Writing Task 5-2, you practised writing to a business to express appreciation. How do you think a business letter differs from a personal gratitude message?
Part Two: Getting Ready to Write
The article in Reading 9-1 discussed the possible mental health benefits of gratitude writing. In this lesson, you are going to write a message of gratitude similar to the letters described in the reading.
