- This activity starts with the teacher assigning the class into pairs. One member of each pair should then open the following document, make a copy, and share it with their partner.
- When the class is ready, students discuss and speculate about the situation #1. Students need to speculate at least three different possibilities about the situation using modal verbs of probability. They write the speculations for the situation and give a reason to support their ideas.
- Students should be given three to four minutes to discuss and write their ideas.
- Then, the teacher clicks the clue #1 on the situation page. The clue gives students more information about what is happening. They then discuss and write three more different possibilities and explanations with the new information.
- This is repeated one more time with the clue #2.
- Finally, the teacher clicks End to give closure about the situation.
