Students work in pairs and open the corresponding pages below.

Student One reads the "You start with:" sentence to his or her partner.

  • Student One: You start with: "It was such a warm spring afternoon yesterday."

Student Two looks at his or her prompt and then makes a sentence about what was unnecessary, using the prompt and what his or her partner said.

  • Listen to your partner, and then use this information: (I didn't wear a jacket.)
  • Student Two: Target Sentence = "I didn't need to wear a jacket yesterday."
