  • You're going to have health problems in the future. (A doctor would say this after doing tests on a patient.)
  • You will have health problems in the future. (A concerned person would say this to persuade their spouse to quit smoking.)

Remember, if you can see the future because of evidence, we use "be going to." If you can't see the future, but you use your opinion or feeling to predict it, we use "will."

1. It's going to rain two days from now. It will rain two days from now.
2. The blue team is going to win the hockey game! The blue team will win the hockey game!
3. I'm going to need to buy a new computer. I will need to buy a new computer.
4. She's going to fall down. She will fall down.
5. She's going to break that! She will break that!

8. It's going to be a great day. It will be a great day.
9. The bank is going to be closed tomorrow. The bank will be closed tomorrow.
10. She is definitely going to pass the test. She will definitely pass the test.
