Students work in groups of three to four and open the corresponding pages. Students take turns asking and answering the discussion questions. For each question, the group should work together and talk about which tense to use to answer the question. It is important not only to answer each question but also to think about the grammar to use in the answers.

  2. What is changing with the weather this time of the year? Is it getting warmer every day? Getting cooler?
  3. What is a car project you are in the middle of doing outside of school?
  4. Describe a vehicle. What does it run on? Does it go fast? Slow?
  1. What is something you are doing this year different from other years?
  2. What is getting more expensive for cars in the world?
  3. What is something temporary you are doing in life right now?
  4. What are you doing after class?
  1. Are you enjoying the weather this week?
  2. Think of a job. Describe what people do in that job every day. Make the other students in your group guess the job.
  3. How are you getting home today? By car? Bus?
  4. What time do you wake up every day?
  1. What cars are some of your friends driving right now?
  2. What are you doing this weekend?
  3. How often do you watch English movies?
  4. Are you reading any books these days?
