Steps

Cover the table with newspaper or cloth.

Give each child a paper heart.

Step 3

Using small paper or plastic plates, pour small amounts of paint into each plate.

Let the children paint their hearts with their fingers. YOu can use Q-tips instead of fingers if you want to avoid mess. Also, keep a wet towel by each student so that they can wipe off their fingers between different colours.

Leave the hearts to dry.

Take a piece of coloured paper and fold it in half.

Stick the heart on the outside of the folded paper. You now have a card. You can add more hearts or some other decorations, too.

Let the children write the card to their family or a friend.
