Have you ever played a game online or on your computer where you can create your own ancient civilization?
There are many games like this! For this unit project, you will get a chance to really create your own ancient civilization. You will have to decide:
- What is your civilization called?
- Where in the world is your civilization located?
- What kind of natural environment, climate, and resources does your civilization have?
- What do people look like, dress like, and act like in your civilization?
- What kind of art does your civilization have?
- What myths does your civilization have?
- What do people in your civilization do for fun?
First, begin with the basics. Make a list of information about your ancient civilization, like the name, the location, and the environment. Fill this out in the 'Information' activity.
Then, you will need to write a diary entry to show what a day in the life of someone in your ancient civilization would have been like. In order to do this, you will have to think about what kind of civilization you have. Are you a military civilization, fighting many wars?
