We can use all the 'and' words to show similarities. Look at the sentences below.

These two sentences mean the same thing. Both parts in each sentence express a positive similarity.

They live in Ontario, and so do we.
They live in Ontario, and we do too.

These two sentences mean the same thing, as well. But this time, both parts in each sentence express a negative similarity.

They don't live in a house, and neither do we.
They don't live in a house, and we don't either.

We can also use these kinds of words as short responses to something another person says. Look at the conversation below.

Susan: I thought that test was super easy!
Michael: I also thought that test was easy.
