People often get confused between 'how much' and 'how many.'

It is easy to remember which to use! Use 'how many' for countable nouns, and 'how much' for uncountable nouns.

How many sisters do you have?
How much time do we have left?

Sometimes, you don't want to give an exact number when someone asks you 'how many.' Instead, you can use general phrases to explain.

Plural Count Nouns

For plural countable nouns, we can use the words:

many This means there are lots of them.
several This means there are more than just one or two.
a few This means there are maybe only one or two.
few This means there are hardly any.
