Welcome to the 2026 school year: a message from our team
Classes are starting again, and members of the Smrt English team in Canada recorded a short video to welcome all of the teachers and administrators we work with in Mexico. It runs for just over three minutes, and you will hear from:
- Jim Clark, President: an invitation to focus this semester on English and technology, the two skills that open doors in an increasingly global world.
- Zach Taylor, Co-founder and Director of Product: A look at the new content we produced in 2026 that is ready for this school year.
- Julian Pinney, Development Team: the new platform tools, designed so that everyone can learn in their own way.
- Elana Palmer, Training and Quality Control: A reminder that our support team is with you for the whole semester.

New this school year
This year brings new courses to the Smrt English library, including exam preparation courses for the Oxford Test of English, College Board ELASH II and CELPIP General, and a series of courses built from the study programs of Mexico's technological universities. Teachers can also now record grades for offline work, like oral exams and paper tests, right in the gradebook.
