Smrt app
My work says "Waiting to send" in the app
Work you hand in or assign with no internet is kept on your phone and sent when you are back online. Here is what to do if it is not sent.
Waiting to send means the app has saved your work on your phone, but has not sent it yet because you were offline. Nothing is lost. The app sends it by itself when you are back online, or the next time you open the app with a connection. When it goes, the label disappears and the lists update.
Students
When you hand in an exercise with no internet, the app says "Handed in. It is sent when you are back online." The exercise, its lesson and its row in the Exercises tab show Waiting to send.
Your answers also save on your phone as you go. Any answers that were not sent are sent when the app starts or reconnects, even if the exercise is not open.
Teachers
When you assign an exercise with no internet, the app says "Assigned on this phone. It is sent when you are back online."
- The lesson shows Waiting to send instead of Assign.
- The Exercises tab lists it under Waiting to send.
- A quiz you assign offline shows a Waiting to send card under Open on the Quizzes tab.
When you are back online, a message tells you when the waiting work has gone out. If you try to assign the same exercise again while it is waiting, the app says "Already waiting to send".
If it still doesn't work
Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data, then open the Smrt app. Sending starts when the app opens or reconnects.
Wait a moment, then pull down on the list to refresh it.
If an exercise closed before your work was sent, it can no longer be handed in. Your answers stay on your phone. Ask your teacher to reopen it. See Reopen an assignment or quiz for a student.
Teachers: if the app says Not assigned, the exercise or quiz could not go out, for example because it was given to the class in the last 30 days. See Assign work in the Smrt app.
Still stuck? Open Profile and tap Report a problem while you are online. Your message includes what is waiting on your phone, so we can help.
